Douglas C. Mitarotonda
Chair

Doug Mitarotonda is Director of Pricing and Analytics at Qcue, where he is responsible for Qcue's pricing recommendation algorithms and measurement as well as the company's consulting services. Prior to joining Qcue, Doug was an associate at The Brattle Group where he specialized in innovative rate design, including dynamic pricing and smart grid issues for the electric industry. His interest in the Balkans stems from a 2003 trip to Tuzla, Bosnia when he taught computer science as a member of Engineers for a Sustainable World. In 2004, he returned to Tuzla to help the Center for Balkan Development further develop its computer science programs. Doug received his Ph.D. in economics from Cornell University. He also holds an M.Eng. in computer science and a B.A. in Computer Science, Mathematics and Asian studies from Cornell University.

Lillian Aoki

Lillian Aoki is currently a Policy Intern at the Association of American Universities (AAU), based in Washington, D.C. Her work includes assisting in the implementation of the AAU STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Undergraduate Education Initiative, a five-year, multi-million dollar project that aims to improve teaching in STEM fields at the undergraduate level. Lillian first visited Bosnia in 2010, when she taught English and graphic design at the Tuzla Summer Institute. She holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry and History from Cornell University, and will begin graduate study in Environmental Science in the fall of 2013.

Thomas O'Toole

Thomas O'Toole is the Executive Director of the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs (CIPA). He also designed and runs CIPA's Washington Externship Semester Program, which enables Cornell MPA Fellows to spend one semester of their degree careers at Cornell living, studying, and working in Washington, DC. Mr. O'Toole teaches CIPA's core course in "Issues in Public Administration," and has collaborated on projects and educational programming with the White House, the United Nations Division of Public Administration and Development Management, the UN World Food Programme, and the International Food Policy Research Institute.He earned his BA in International Relations at Bucknell University and his MPA from Cornell University. He is currently in the final stages of his PhD. in Government at Cornell.

Muhidin Lelić

Muhidin Lelić, Ph.D, is the Director of Program Management at Quanta Technology in Raleigh, North Carolina. He has over 30 years of academic and industrial experience during which he has held various technical and management positions. In addition to developing applications for power systems analysis, he has led development of energy management systems for Puerto Rico Power Authority. While working in R&D as a project and program manager, he was responsible for developing several new products in the area of optical communications, boiler safety and fuel efficiency control. He is originally from Tuzla with fourteenyears experience in teaching engineering and computer science courses at Tuzla University.
